Delhi University SET Procedure | Delhi University SET Pattern | Procedure for DU Super-Specialty Entrance Test (SET)

Procedure for Super-Specialty Entrance Test (SET): The SET shall be held on 05th June 2010 (Saturday) and 06th June 2010 (Sunday). The Examination Centre for the SET would be informed to the candidate at the time of issue of admission ticket.
2.6 Declaration of result of SET: Result of eligible candidates shall be notified on the Notice Board of the Faculty Office and result of all candidates on the website, i.e. www.du.ac.in and www.fmsc.ac.in by 2nd/3rd Week of June 2010.
2.7 Procedure for admission, assignment of institution and payment of fees:
2.7.1 Admission would be made strictly on the basis of merit of the eligible candidates determined by marks obtained in the SET.
2.7.2 In case, two or more candidate obtain equal marks in SET, the inter-se-merit of such candidate shall be determined in order of preference as follows:
(i) The candidate who has passed the qualifying examination (MD/MS/DNB) in the first/less number of attempts will be given preference for admission.
(ii) If the candidate in the tie of marks has passed the qualifying examination (MD/MS/DNB) in the same number of attempts, then the candidate who has got more aggregate marks, taking into consideration marks of all the three professional examinations of MBBS course together, will be given preference for admission.
(iii) If the candidates have equal marks in MBBS also, after taking into consideration marks of all the three professional examinations, then the candidate older/ oldest in age will be given preference for admission.
(iv) The merit list, after breaking the tie, will be displayed at Faculty of Medical Sciences at the time of dispatch of Provisional Letter of Offer
THE TEST
Paper I will consist of 80 objective type of questions (items). Each item will be followed by four responses marked (1), (2), (3) and (4) of which only one will be the correct or the most appropriate one. The test will carry maximum of 320 marks.
Paper II will consist of 120 objective type of questions (items). Each item will be followed by four responses marked (1), (2), (3) and (4) of which only one will be the correct or the most appropriate one. The test will carry maximum of 480 marks.

FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA, PUNE ADMISSION NOTICE (2010)
INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES REGARDING APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION:
Candidates should fill in an application form only after ensuring that they fulfill all the essential qualifications. Application should be filled in accordance with the instructions contained therein (either on-line or on-print). Only one application will be accepted from one candidate either on-line or on-print.
A passport size [3.5x4.5 cm] photograph should be neatly pasted on the printed Application form in the space provided or uploaded for the on-line Application according to the instructions provided online.
Application forms (either on-line or on-print) should be filled up correctly in all respects to avoid their being rejected.
All applicants will receive an email giving each of them a Username and password for accessing information relating to the status of their admission process.
Candidates applying on the printed Application form should clearly write on the envelope the name of the course he/she has applied for.
Application complete in all respects should reach the Controller of Examinations, Film and Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune – 411004 latest by 15 June 2010. Candidates should note that the Institute will make no allowances for postal delays while receiving completed admission forms from the applicants.
Those candidates who apply on-line should send their declaration and mention their full name and course applied for at the back of the crossed demand draft of Rs.2,000/- (Rs.1,650/- for SC/ST category only) drawn on any of the branches of State Bank of India or any Nationalised Bank, payable at PUNE. Drafts should be made payable to ACCOUNTS OFFICER, FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA, PUNE. Remittance in cash, postal orders or cheques will not be accepted.
No application will be accepted without the Demand draft received at the Institute.

Selection
1) The selection process will consist of Written Test and Interview.
2) The tentative date for the written test will be 30.05.2010. However, candidates will be intimated separately the exact date, time and venue of the written test.
3) Only those candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the written test alone will be called for the interview.
Application fee
A Demand Draft for Rs.500/- in favour of “HLL Lifecare Limited” payable at Trivandrum to be sent along with a copy of the print out of the application submitted online/application sent through post.
Those candidates belonging to SC/ST/ PWD candidates are exempted from this payment.
Training
Candidates selected as Management Trainee will be placed on training for a period of one year. On successful completion of training, they will be placed as Assistant Managers.

Emoluments

During the period of training, the Management Trainees will be given a stipend of Rs.15000/- (under revision). On placement as Assistant Manager, they will be placed in the Scale of Pay of Rs.12600 – 32500 with all other benefits which include VDA, HRA, Medical Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, Educational Allowance, Provident Fund, Earned Leave, Leave Travel Concession , Performance Related Pay, Mediclaim benefits, Interest Subsidy on Housing Loan, Interest subsidy on vehicle loan etc. as applicable to the Executives of the Company.

Application are invited for admission to the following M.Tech./MUDP courses. The selection will be on
the basis of All India level Examination GATE.

Note :

1. Eligibility : Candidates possessing appropriate degree with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent in credit and grade system in qualifying degree examination & 55% marks or equivalent in credit and grade system for SC/ST category candidates.

* Professor: Minimum 10 years’ industrial (Officer level)/research/teaching experience, of which 8 years should be at Assistant/Associate Professor Level and at least 4 years of experience as Associate Professor should be in a premier institution such as IIM, IIT, IISC. NITIE or similar others.
* Associate Professor: Minimum 8 years’ industrial (Officer level)/research/teaching experience, of which 3 years should be at Assistant Professor Level.
* Assistant Professor: Minimum 3 years’ industrial (Officer level)/research/teaching experience (experience gained during Ph.D will NOT be counted).
Those who have submitted/are about to submit Ph.D. thesis or with shortfall in experience can apply for full-time visiting positions in the above areas, with a consolidated salary on contract basis at the appropriate levels.
We specially invite Corporate Executives at Senior/Top positions with substantial managerial experience to apply for regular (Ph.D. applicable)/Visiting/Adjunct positions. Those with a flair for and experience in Executive training are particularly welcome to apply.
Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to make their intellectual contribution accessible to experienced managers through teaching, training and published work. Candidates should have a strong understanding of current developments in the related field. Faculty members arc responsible for carrying out research, designing and teaching courses, conducting continuing education programmes and web-based education, institution development, and consultancy.
The scales of pay associated with the positions are: Professor (Rs.37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of Rs. 10500/-), Associate Professor (Rs. 37400-67000 + AGP of Rs. 9500/-), and Assistant Professor (Rs. 15600-39100 + AGP of Rs. 8000/-). The minimum basic pay will be Rs. 48000/- + AGP for Professors, Rs. 42800/- + AGP for Associate Professors and Rs. 30000/- + AGP of Rs. 8000/- for Assistant Professors. Positions carry usual allowances and perquisites as generally available in the IIMs. The Institute also provides opportunities for earning additional income through teaching, training and consulting.

Medical Fitness
Applicants should have sound health. Before joining, selected candidates will have to undergo medical examination by the Company’s Authorised Medical Officer and the appointment will be subject to meeting the health standards prescribed by the Company. (BHEL’s Medical Examination Rules)
The definition of Locomotor Disability and Hearing Impairment, for reservation in number of vacancies in BHEL, for Physically Challenged candidates under ‘The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995′, are as under :
Locomotor Disability – minimum 40% of physical defect or deformity which causes an interference with the normal functioning of the bones, muscles and joint.

Main areas of training are life saving techniques, boat handling, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, SCUBA diving, river rafting, kayaking etc. Since inception, over 20 courses have been developed for watersport professionals, managers and the tourists, particularly those visiting Goa and safety and rescue operators.
Instructor (Watersports): 1 Post
* Pay Band: Rs. 9300-34800 + GP Rs. 4600/-
* Age: Max 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. (Four year service to superannuation)
Mode of appointment: Transfer on deputation initially for two years.
* Qualification:
1) Officers of Central/State Governments or Public Sector/Autonomous Organizations/ College/ Universities/ Educational Institutes:
a) Holding analogous post OR
b) Holding post in the pay scale of Rs.5500-9000 (pre revised) with 3 years regular service in the grade. OR
c) Holding post in the pay scale of Rs.5000-8000 (Pre revised) with 6 years regular service in the grade.
2) Minimum three years of experience in training, of which, at least one year should be in Water Sports.
Desirable:
i) Good oral & written communication in English and Hindi.
ii) Proficiency in computer operations
iii) Proven record of training in leisure-based watersports.
Period of Deputation:
Period of deputation, including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post, held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/ department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed two years.
